Dear PDIS Users,

We are pleased to announce two new features in the PDIS designed to enhance your diagnostic and reporting workflows:

1. NPDN First-In-State Entry
The First-In-State feature for new detections
The First-In-State Entry Report provides a summary of diagnoses uploaded to the NPDN National Data Repository (NDR) that represents the first confirmed occurrence of a pest code in a specific state. This feature is an essential tool for early detection and communication, helping diagnosticians stay informed about potential new detections of organisms and diseases. For more information, visithttps://www.npdn.org/guidelines/npdn_first_state_entry_database_report

2. NPDN Tracking ID
The PDIS tracking feature
The NPDN Tracking ID is a unique identifier for each sample submitted to the NPDN National Data Repository, improving traceability and communication.

Key enhancements include:

  • A centralized location for managing Tracking IDs in the Sample Dashboard.
  • A user-friendly pop-up window to enter or update Tracking IDs for transferred samples.
  • Simplified workflows for tracking samples across laboratories and ensuring efficient communication.
