Martin Deubler, NPDN IT Assistant Director
The Communicator: Volume 5, Issue 3, March 2024
Welcome to this month’s IT Bytes. This month we want to introduce you to the new student account. When the need arose for time limited accounts, your CERIS team created the student account. These accounts were designed for students working in the labs needing National Data Repository (NDR) access, but they can be issued to any member or sponsored partner who needs a time limited account.
Student account applicants must be affiliated with an NPDN lab or partner lab, and/or must have an NPDN member sponsor. The usual term for a student account is six months to one year which is defined by the sponsor. The term can be extended by regional leadership at the request of the sponsor.
To set up a student account for one of your lab members, send the request through your regional leadership. You will need the person’s full name, email address, state, and sponsoring institution as minimum required information. Additional helpful information is the lab address, the lab phone numbers, and the NPDN lab code which can be found in the lab directory. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out to your regional leadership team.
